Shloka Nidhi
Two people. One mission. Bringing the beauty of shlokas, bhajans, and ancient Indian wisdom to children across the world — one family at a time.
To ensure every child of Indian heritage grows up knowing who they are — grounded in the wisdom of Sanatana Dharma, connected to the shlokas their grandparents chanted, and proud of a tradition thousands of years old.
How It Began
The Story of Shloka Nidhi
It was 2020. The world had come to a standstill. Screens replaced classrooms, parks, and playgrounds — and Lavanya Anthanna, a classically trained Carnatic vocalist from Telangana, saw something both troubling and hopeful in that moment.
Children were spending more time online than ever — and yet drifting further from the ancient rhythms that had grounded generations before them. No one was teaching them the Hanuman Chalisa. No one was explaining the Guru Doha in words a six-year-old could feel. The shlokas were fading — not from disinterest, but from distance.
Lavanya decided to bridge that distance. She began teaching shlokas and bhajans over Zoom — warmly, simply, with stories and rhythm and love. Word spread. Families in the US, India, the UK, and beyond started tuning in. Shloka Nidhi — the treasure of shlokas — was born.
Srikar Katta, a computer science graduate with a deep passion for giving children their Dharmic roots, joined to build the infrastructure around Lavanya's gift. Workshops, classes, contests, a website, a community — everything that lets Lavanya focus purely on what she does best: teaching.
Today, Shloka Nidhi reaches thousands of families through live classes, workshops, and social media — and the mission remains exactly what it was on day one: every child deserves to know the beauty of their heritage.
The Team
The People Behind It All
A classically trained Carnatic vocalist and playback singer from Telangana, Lavanya has devoted herself to preserving Indian musical and spiritual heritage. Since 2020, she has taught shlokas and bhajans to hundreds of children across the globe — bringing ancient wisdom alive through warmth, rhythm, and deep devotion.
A computer science graduate with a master's degree and a deep passion for giving children a meaningful connection to their Indian heritage and traditions. Srikar handles everything that makes Shloka Nidhi run — technology, product, marketing, operations, and customer experience — so Lavanya can focus entirely on teaching.
What We Believe
Our Values
Every shloka, every bhajan we teach is authentic — drawn from the same lineage that has sustained Sanatana Dharma for thousands of years.
We meet children where they are — with stories, rhythm, and warmth. Ancient wisdom becomes something they feel, not just memorize.
Whether you're in Austin or Hyderabad, London or Singapore — your child deserves to know their heritage. Distance is no barrier.
Lavanya's sessions are calm, nurturing, and joyful. Children don't just learn here — they light up.
Live workshops, weekly classes, and a community of families across the world — all working to pass the treasure of our heritage to the next generation. 🙏
